Course Description:

Photography is an incredibly exciting and portable industry to enter into. It offers a diverse range of areas where your personal interest and passion can take you. We expose our students to the industry and industry based events as much as possible to create ‘real life’ situations and shoot conditions to gain maximum experience while studying.


The study program and curriculum has been designed Integrate a very diverse range of skills and applications with a great variety of projects in:

  5. Sports and action
  6. Portrait, product and studio shooting with lighting setup,
  7. Fashion and glamour
  8. Extensive computer skills to support digital post production with programs like Photoshop
  9. Students will learn exceptional effects and post production imaging techniques and learn the necessary skills to do their own post production work


Vocational Outcome:

Working as a freelance or employed photographer in the areas of:

  5. Journalism newspaper & magazine photographer
  6. Real Estate photographer
  7. Product shooting for catalogues and marketing,

You are eligible for enrolment if you: Completed year 10 level at secondary school OR completed year 12 or higher OR mature age entry with portfolio of work showing special creative application relevant to the industry.

Diploma students are required to have a DSLR camera with a flash trigger at the start date of course.
